The current climate for LGBTQIA+ rights in America has become a constant fight for God-given rights. And so, I wrote this poem in support of the movement. 

“Seems to me, God created everything for a purpose

Different colors convey different messages

And its all needed..somehow…”

Imagine…

Close your eyes

And really imagine

What if you awoke one morning 

And discovered the grass to be the same color as the sky

And that the trees had been stripped of adorned greens, yellows, reds, oranges, and browns

Tell me, how would you cope if radiant hues of natures delicacy

Were but black and white?

How would the sky speak of rain?

What foods would we consume?

Seems to me, God created everything for a purpose

Different colors convey different messages

And its all needed..somehow

Tell me, if there were no colors

Would music feel the same?
